Raise The Bar – Simple Dessert Bar Recipes
All of these simple dessert bar recipes are perfect for parties of all sizes – from big crowds to just a few friends. And they’re easy to customize, too!

As much as I love baking cookies, sometimes I just want to throw the batter into a pan and bake it without dropping individual cookies. That’s the beauty of dessert bars. Since they’re baked in a baking pan, you don’t have to scoop, roll, or smoosh cookies onto a baking sheet. It saves you so much time.
They aren’t just faster to make – they’re a lot of fun to create, too! If you love to get creative in the kitchen, then dessert bars might become your favorite things. Start out with a basic recipe (and I’ll share a few below). Then, add a few extra toppings or mix-ins in the flavor changes completely.
If you’re a busy mom like me or just learning how to bake, I’ve got some dessert bar recipes below that will make you feel like a professional pastry chef! They’re as easy to make as using a boxed mix, but the flavors and presentation are so much better.
The Best Dessert Bar Recipes
Has this ever happened to you? You wake up and realize you forgot that you agreed to bring desserts to the office pot luck. Or maybe you get a last-minute text from your husband saying a bunch of work friends are coming over to hang out.
Or maybe you just start craving something sweet and you don’t feel like spending hours in the kitchen.
All of these situations can be solved with an easy dessert bars recipe. Mix the ingredients, layer them in the pan, and bake. They’re ready in no time at all!

How To Store Dessert Bars
If you’re really pressed for time, you can make a double batch of dessert bars up to two days before your party. How you store them depends on what is inside the bars.
Simple ones, like brownies, can be stored in an airtight container and kept in the pantry for up to three days.
Dessert bars that have frosting or a soft filling will need to be refrigerated. Keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
Easy Party Desserts For A Crowd
One of my favorite things about dessert bars is that the same recipe can feed a dozen people (or more) – it just depends on the size of the slices.
In fact, they can also be sliced into tiny bite-sized pieces and served with teeny forks and served at fancy parties.
If you’re going to be hosting a party, or if you’re responsible for the desserts, you need these dessert bar recipes.
