As someone who loves creating cozy recipes with a nostalgic twist, I can’t resist turning childhood favorites into cookies.

I remember first trying Lucky Charms as a little girl. At first, I was unsure of the marshmallow pieces, but of course, eventually I fell in love with the cereal… as did every kid from the 90s!

Packed with crunchy Lucky Charms cereal and creamy white chocolate chips, these cookies are soft, colorful, and guaranteed to bring back memories of Saturday morning cartoons (and oversized bowls of cereal, of course).

Why You’ll Love These Lucky Charms Cookies

There’s something so fun about baking with Lucky Charms. Between the colorful marshmallows, the white chocolate chips, and the soft cookie base, these cookies are equal parts nostalgic and delicious.

What Makes These Lucky Charms Cookies So Good?

The combination of textures is what makes these cookies stand out. The cookie itself is soft and chewy, while the cereal adds a little crunch and the white chocolate chips bring just the right amount of sweetness.

Topping the cookies with extra marshmallows after baking gives them that bakery-style look that’s almost impossible to resist.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make Lucky Charms Cookies

Be sure to gather the following ingredients before making these delicious cookies. To get the specific measurements, be sure to check out the full recipe card below.

How to Make Lucky Charms Cookies

Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Melt the butter and set it aside to cool slightly.

In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add the egg and mix until a creamy mixture forms.

Add the flour, baking soda, and salt, and mix until a smooth cookie dough forms.

Fold in the white chocolate chips and Lucky Charms cereal until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Using a standard cookie scoop, portion the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart. You should get approximately 12 cookies.

Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers still appear slightly soft.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and immediately press additional Lucky Charms marshmallows onto the tops of the warm cookies.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 to 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tips for Perfect Lucky Charms Cookies

For the softest cookies, avoid overbaking. The centers should still look very soft when you remove them from the oven.

If you’d like extra colorful cookies, save a few marshmallows from the cereal box and press them into the tops while the cookies are still warm.

Can I make the dough ahead of time?

Yes! The dough can be made up to 24 hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator until you’re ready to bake.

Can I freeze these cookies?

Absolutely. Store baked cookies in an airtight container and freeze for up to 3 months.

How to Store Lucky Charms Cookies

If you have any leftovers, be sure to store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.

For longer storage, freeze them for up to 3 months and thaw at room temperature before serving.
