Plan the cutest Mr. Onederful birthday party with easy dessert ideas and adorable decor inspiration to pull the whole celebration together.

Ladies and gents: our celebrations are just so dapper!
One of my absolute favorite parties I’ve ever thrown has to be my youngest’s Mr. Onederful birthday party. It was one of those themes that just felt so him — playful, a little cheeky, and way too cute to handle. I’ve always loved putting together fun, themed celebrations, and this one still makes me smile every time I look back at the photos.
Since then, I’ve made it a goal to share more of our favorite party ideas here on the blog, so whether you’re planning your own Mr. Onederful party or just gathering ideas for your little one’s big day, I’ve got you covered!

What Is A Mr. Onederful Birthday?
A Mr. Onederful birthday celebration is a play on words with the term, “Mr. Wonderful.” The theme often involves dapper-like food and décor, involving touches of black and gold, bowties, top hats, glitter… the works!

Ideas for a Mr. Onederful Birthday
Fun story: we had just come back from a winter family vacation before throwing my son’s Mr. Onederful party, so we were a little pressed for time. Since it was only our little family celebrating, we kept things simple by focusing solely on the party’s tablescape. This is what we included:

- Lots of dark chocolate treats (trying to stick with the “black” theme)
- Ferrero Rocher chocolates (to add touches of gold)
- Gold plates
- Shiny bowls
- Bow tie pasta as the main course
- Mr. Onederful-themed birthday cake
- A tuxedo-style bib for the birthday boy!

The Cutest “Mr. Onederful” Cake!
We had a Mr. Onderful birthday cake made by one of Montreal’s very best cake makers: Kirsten Lund. If you’re in the Montreal and Laurentians region, then I urge you to place your order with Kirsten ASAP. She books fast and for good reason!

This is our third cake we have ordered through her (check out this Lego cake she did for my oldest!), and every single one of them have been phenomenal. Her artistry and attention to detail are beyond… she seriously “wows” us with every single one of her creations.

Most recently, Kirsten was the winner of Food Network’s The Big Bake, season 2! Be sure to follow her on Instagram so you can take a look at more of her creations, and book your dream cake ASAP.
