I know I’ve bragged about creating the “easiest recipe ever” before…but this time is different! I only used three ingredients – what’s easier than that? And it’s a no-bake recipe too! It’s so easy that even kids can make it.

Well…bigger kids, that is. You have to melt the butter and marshmallows on the stove, so toddlers should definitely be supervised!

What Are Fruity Pebbles Treats?

Well, if you know what Rice Krispie treats are, then you probably have a good idea about what these are. Instead of puffed rice cereal, you’ll use Fruity Pebbles. Then, mix in some butter and marshmallows and you have a gooey, sticky dessert.

This is a dessert kids love (because getting messy while eating is half the fun!). And since it’s so easy to make, it’s a popular party treat too. You can make double or triple the amount without breaking a sweat.

I’m all about making things for myself (and you, too). This dessert is just as easy as all my other recipes in my e-book. Have you grabbed my free recipe e-book, The Sweet Six yet? If not, do it!!

It’s my collection of beginner-friendly recipes every home baker should master — and yes, my famous chocolate chip cookies are in there too.

Rainbow Dessert

These sweet and crispy desserts have all of the colors of the rainbow in them. They’re perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, summertime parties, or anytime that you’re throwing a colorful party.

Since it’s a rainbow-themed treat, it will go with any theme you come up with. How about Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz? (Somewhere, over the rainbow). Or what about all those balloons in Up? It also fits into themes with Noah’s Ark and The Muppets (Rainbow Connection).

And I don’t know if it’s just me, but I think Fruity Pebbles are a bit sweeter than Rice Krispies. I prefer this version over the classic one any day.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make Fruity Pebbles Treats

I wasn’t kidding when I told you that this recipe only uses three ingredients. Here’s what you’ll need before you begin:

  • Butter
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Fruity Pebbles Cereal

Can I swap the Fruity Pebbles for other types of cereal?

Yes, you sure can! While I prefer the small, rice-puffed cereals in these treats because of their texture, any type of breakfast cereal will work.

Try it with Cocoa Pebbles for a rich, chocolaty treat. Or make them with Lucky Charms (but don’t melt these marshmallows!). And if you love the flavor of churros, recreate it by using Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

If you use a different type of cereal, let me know! I’d love to see it!

How to Make Fruity Pebble Treats

Start by lining an 8×8 square pan with parchment paper that has an overhang. Set the pan aside for now.

In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

Add mini marshmallows and stir constantly until melted.

Immediately remove from heat once melted (you don’t want the bottom to burn).

Add Fruity Pebbles cereal to the melted marshmallows. Fold until all ingredients are well-combined.

Press the Fruity Pebbles cereal treats into the lined pan and press down so that it is even. Let it set on the countertop for about 3-4 hours.

Remove from the pan and cut into squares. Serve and enjoy!
