Cashew Oat Bars

If your sweet tooth is having a little craving,try out these delicious cashew oat bars for a healthier dessert alternative.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup cashew butter
  • ¾ cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup miniature chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a square 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, gently mix quick oats, baking powder and soda. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whisk egg and add cashew butter. Mix until well-combined.
  • Add syrup to cashew butter mix.
  • Slowly incorporate dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Once ingredients are well-mixed, fold in chocolate chips.
  • Place the batter evenly onto the metal pan. Press down firmly.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Cut into squares and enjoy!
